One of the main goals of HommeMystere has been to continually expand the range of lingerie we design for our clients. \u00a0That means we complete a single manufacturing run of a style and then never go back and make exactly the same style again.<\/p>\n

There have been a couple of variations on this idea such as the Miranda<\/a> being a very similar pattern to Genevieve<\/a>, and Rachel<\/a> also being close to the same style.<\/p>\n

I also do plan to do another style of the Frill<\/a> set although it will likely be the thong, panty and a padded bra in a different color.<\/p>\n

But this week I received an email from Shane in the USA who said he always liked the China Doll<\/a> set but found the site too late to get one. \u00a0Shane also said there was some mention of the China Doll on other sites and forums where guys were interested in getting a set. \u00a0This isn’t the first time I’ve received a request for the China Doll. \u00a0Every now and again someone sends an email and I have apologise for not having one in their size.<\/p>\n

China Doll was the first large manufacturing run for HommeMystere<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

So here’s a bit of background on the China Doll. \u00a0It was the first ‘large’ production run we did of a particular style and our first time using a manufacturer in China. \u00a0The name came from the fact is was made in China but more so after the David Bowie song of which I’m a fan. \u00a0It was one of the turning points for HommeMystere going from small local runs to importing and learning about large factory manufacturing.<\/p>\n

It certainly didn’t go too smoothly but starting a lingerie business for guys was never going to be a straightforward business plan! \u00a0The China Doll did run very very small, the panty is low at the front but overall, the look is quite nice and it is\/was quite comfortable. \u00a0The China Doll bra<\/a> has large cups which turned out to be a positive for our female model at the time – she was so impressed with the bra and the wing design she took a couple for herself!<\/p>\n

China Doll Bra had the largest cup we have made with plenty of curve!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

So I’m in two minds at the moment. \u00a0Do we do another run on China Doll? \u00a0Do we sacrifice a new style and color for another China Doll set? To do it again would mean making the bras larger in the band and I would also change the panty pattern slightly to make it higher at the front. \u00a0And do you guys really want a full bra that has a cup size that large?<\/p>\n

There is still time. \u00a0I’m still in the planning stages for the second half of this year and will be back at the factory in China to work on the patterns and plans in March. \u00a0Leave a comment and let me know what you think.<\/p>\n
