We have no intentions of producing any new garments and will be retiring the HommeMystere label after 16 years.

As we get closer to Christmas we have decided to give away more of our seconds stock to let our customers celebrate with us!
So through December right up to January 1st 2024, we are including a free garment with orders over $50 USD (not including shipping).

For international customers outside Australia, today (December 6) is the last day you have to guarantee receiving orders shipped via standard mail. Express mail orders placed up to December 12 are still expected to reach international customers prior to Christmas but we strongly recommend placing orders asap!

Following the decision to sell or close down our lingerie label and move onto something new, we are no longer planning any new styles for release so what we have left is very much the last of HM.
Our plan is to sell down our stock over the next 6 to 12 months until we receive an acceptable offer, run out of stock or require the warehouse space sooner than anticipated.
Our first plan is to sell down stock that we have over ordered. These are garments we manufactured in larger than usual quantities which has left us with too many on the floor.
So for August you can purchase these garments at below our cost price. The Bianca panty and bra, the Jasmine panty and bra and of course the Chloe thong, underwire bra and mini skirt. Finally, one of the nicest lingerie pieces I personally believe we have ever made, the Emma teddy which we are selling at 50% off our cost price. Yes you read that correctly.
All our garments are on sale now at wholesale prices or less. Those at or under cost price can be seen on our Sale page. We even have our Frida Teddy there for only $10 USD.
And don’t just thing our lingerie is for guys! Emma would be a lovely addition to any girl or gurls collection!
Our new lingerie sets have arrived and are now available in store. They are so new we haven’t even planned a photo shoot as yet! The new sets including Emma Teddy, Chloe Thong, Bra and Suspender Skirt along with Jasmine Panty and Bra represent a change in our business.
We have finally reached a tipping point in terms of manufacturing which is great news for our customers. It means our volumes equate to better prices for our customers and hopefully an ever evolving and growing business.
Of course this isn’t possible without the continuing support of our customers and as a reward we will be releasing our new garments at the lowest possible price and in the case of Emma, a small loss. The reason is to reward our loyal customers and provide visitors with an opportunity to sample our quality at a reasonable price point.

Whoa! When mangerie goes viral it really does go crazy.
We shouldn’t be surprised I guess. Stories like this surface from time to time and the response borders on hysteria from some areas. Though it’s not everyday the son of the United States President helps us out with a disapproving tweet! Hopefully we’ll still be allowed to visit again as I think we left some money in Vegas last trip and I’d like to have it back thanks.
The funny thing is, lingerie wearing guys are generally pretty good at hiding their love of lingerie. So the guy laughing with you could be perusing our store in the next few days trying to decide which garment to purchase. (Nikita or Annabelle sets for comfort only, Lara for getting wicked in the bedroom, Carmen for sleeping and Katie Romper or any of our thongs and Vanessa mini skirt for getting in the mood…fast!
And it’s not all about the bras. Our critics endlessly ask ‘but why the bra’ and the answer is simply because some of our customers love the feeling it gives them. Some guys only love our briefs and are not into the bras at all. Some like the lingerie because they love the one piece fit and feel. It’s a personal choice. Wives and girlfriends tend to buy their partners briefs or thongs as gifts with Valentines Day now only second to the Cyber Monday sale in terms of volume.
Seriously, just because one person doesn’t agree with another persons choice in wardrobe/hairstyle/sexual preference/political persuasion/religion doesn’t make one or the other right or wrong. It doesn’t make one person better than the other.

It has taken some time, but HommeMystere now has an entirely separate store dedicated to wholesale sales direct to retailers.
Located at www.hommemysterewholesale.com, the store allows approved businesses to purchase our garments at wholesale prices for their own stores.
One of the reasons many visitors choose not to purchase direct from us is the tyranny of distance and the import taxes they are liable to pay as an order enters their respective country.
Allowing stores to purchase the stock at a wholesale price reduces the tax obligation for the retailer and provides a local point of contact for the customer.

Did I miss doing a blog post in March? This year seems to be flying by so it’s about time I updated our visitors on what we’re up to here at HommeMystere.
Firstly, I have completed my annual visit to see our manufacturer and plan the next 12 months or so. Although it was a quick trip with just one night in Hong Kong and two in China before returning home, it’s always an experience making the trip.
Many visitors will be familiar with awesome public transport services, but for myself who seldom jumps on a train, I always find the systems in Hong Kong and China incredibly efficient. The MTR network in Hong Kong is ridiculously easy to use and a 300kmh+ (200mph) bullet train in China is crazy fast and I was on a ‘slow’ leg!

Traffic in a car is pretty scary but travelling in the Chinese version of Uber is fine with good cars and friendly drivers. Didn’t see any bottles of water or packets of mints though!
Visiting the company always begins with a quick tour of the factory floor followed by a meal, and I have to admit some of the dishes are certainly an acquired taste. I was fortunate enough this trip to stumble across some Australian Wagyu beef cooked in the Middle Kingdom way and it was perfect. It’s a good time to catch up on how their business and family has been going over the previous year and gain a new perspective on the challenges they face.

I was the very first client of the family run business and it has been amazing to see how they have grown over the years. They have started from scratch and the warehouse space now covers over 4,000 square metres which I think is about 43,000 square feet! The sample room alone has over a thousand different pieces of lingerie in various styles, colours and sizes. We are just minnows in the lingerie world where some labels order more pieces in a week than we order in a year!

The staff now have quite a good feel for what us guys like in lingerie and they are not shy about making suggestions either! While we sit around the boardroom table, comments such as ‘you need more pink lace’ and ‘this design is not sexy enough’ is embarrassingly common. There are also a couple of guys in management that I’m told have been convinced to model a few samples prior to them being sent to Australia. They certainly like to get the patterns correct before shipping!
This Teddy would have made a great gift but I was only travelling with carry on luggage.
Overall it was a very successful trip and based on our conversations, we will be providing the opportunity for other retailers to purchase our garments for their own store. With the new year upon us we have spent the past few days cleaning up our warehouse and looking at how many ‘seconds’ we have sitting around.
Every order that’s shipped out is checked over for faults whether it’s a pulled thread, discoloration or anything else. Of course the occasional one slips through but we do tend to be fairly critical of what we retain as ‘unsaleable’.
So following our tidying up efforts we have plenty of this lingerie to give away. Although the collection consists mainly of bras and panties, there are several pieces of lingerie there as well.
So from now until Valentines Day, we will be giving away our seconds with each order. It will be a random giveaway so you won’t be able to request a specific piece. We will try and match what we provide based on your order and try and get the sizing as accurate as possible.
